One of the
fundamental roles for modern museums is to both educate and entertain. At the Nanaimo Museum, we are committed to both. Housed in our new, larger downtown facility, our programming department is now better equipped to deliver top notch educational programs that also entertain visitors of all ages.

Whether you're visiting on your own or part of a school group, there are programs to fit all your needs. There are hands-on activities based programs as well as guided, outreach and adaptable programming. Also available are grade specific programs based on PLO's, teacher packages, and trained docents to help teach participants about Nanaimo's coal mining and First Nations history, archaeology, and more. School programs are available Monday to Friday - morning and afternoon - and pre-registration is required.

     * Inhouse programs $40      * Classroom programs $50
