The Nanaimo Museum entered a new era in 2008.

Nanaimo's history was given new life with the construction of our facility in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Where the physical constraint of our previous site - which served us well for 40 years - was hampering our ability to grow and expand, the new site allows us the opportunity to reach our full potential as a modern day museum, research facility, and tourist attraction.
