With exciting new opportunities to attend guest curator lectures, and participate in unique cultural events the Nanaimo Museum offers engaging and informative events for all community members. Ivan Sayers Fashion Presentation
Tuesday, May 26th, 2015  - Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Fashion historian Ivan Sayers will give a presentation about the transformation of women's clothing before, during and after WW2. The presentations are part of the Nanaimo Museum's feature exhibit Rationing to Ravishing: The Transformation of Women's Fashions in the 40s & 50s. Ivan Sayers and Claus Jahnke are the guest co-curators of this exhibit, which draws on their extensive textile collection. Join us for Ivan's always popular presentations from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on May 26 & June 9. Cost is $10 (member discount available), and pre-registration is required. Ay Ay Mut Hallway Exhibit Opening
Saturday, May 30th, 2015  - Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Please join us for the opening of the upcoming community hallway exhibit:
Ay Ay Mut - The 35 Year Partnership of Traditional Coast Salish Artist William Good and Artist Sandra Moorhouse Good. Meet the artists, check out the exhibit, and have some refreshments! Attendees are invited to wear their vintage Ay Ay Mut clothing to this event. From 1pm - 4pm May 30, 2015
